Generally...

Principal Investigators should acknowledge their use of NYSBC in papers and presentations as follows:

"Prof. X. Y. is a member of the New York Structural Biology Center. The Center is a STAR center supported by the New York State Office of Science, Technology, and Academic Research."

Some journals have restrictions on how individual grants may be acknowledged, and of course you may need to modify the statement for their restrictions. Staff will certainly appreciate your appropriate acknowledgment of their efforts. There is no general requirement for acknowledgment of staff performing their normal training, maintenance, and support activities.

Collaborations that involve a significant intellectual or technical contribution to the paper or abstract would involve authorship, and review of the manuscript prior to submission for publication. An appropriate Conflict of Interest form should be filed with NYSBC for all NYSBC staff and volunteers.
