Huw joined Apple Tree Partners in June 2005. He is currently Vice President, Corporate Development for Aileron Therapeutics. Prior to joining ATP, Huw was a founding scientist of NeoGenesis^? Pharmaceuticals, a drug-discovery technology company that was acquired by Schering-Plough in February 2005. At NeoGenesis^?, Huw served as Vice President, External Collaborations, where he directly managed 21 research collaborations with large pharma and biotech companies and academic labs, and also served as the principal technical representative for all business development, private financing and merger and acquisition activities. In addition, Huw was a Principal Investigator for 3 Small Business Innovation Research Grants, was a co-author of 5 peer-reviewed scientific publications with NeoGenesis^?, and was a co-inventor on 9 patents. Huw received his B.A. in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College and received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Harvard University with Professor Gregory L. Verdine.
