Replacement of Lost ID Cards

Problem

Some users chronically lose their ID cards. This then
  1. costs NYSBC Member Institutions money for the replacement card and the staff time
  2. distracts scientific staff from their primary work
  3. potentially creates security issues for everyone at NYSBC

Solution

To encourage ID card retention, NYSBC will in future charge for any replacement card within four years of original or replacement issue.
