Policy for use of the Main Intranet pages

Items not allowed for privacy concerns

• Any personal information, other than that entered by the individual themselves, including but not limited to
  • medical information,
  • family information,
  • home address,
  • home phone,
  • social security number,
  • personal account information.

Items not allowed for concern for institutional integrity

• Any disparaging comment concerning any staff or affiliates of NYSBC.
• Evaluative comments on suppliers / vendors etc. must be STRICTLY objective. If there is any doubt about appropriateness, refer to an executive. As examples, it's appropriate to log down time, time to repair, etc. It's inappropriate to record personal comments on slowness or non-responsiveness -- the facts and dates usually speak for themselves.

Items to be placed elsewhere in order to increase transparency

• Locally recorded PUBLIC information on grants and contracts -- attach to individual Main web pages.
• E journal copies should be placed in http://www.nysbc.net/library in order to conform with CopyRight issues.
• Items for general use of an advisory and regulatory nature which change relatively infrequently -- attach to Nregim
• There is a separate page for Staff use, for items only of interest to Staff.
