The following changes in booking NMR time are being introduced.

During 2Q/2009, on line booking will start for the period beginning 3Q/2009. It is planned to modify the booking arrangements to permit authorized agents to book time directly in the range of 50% to 150% of their allocation, less historical debits. There are many details to be worked out. Currently,

  1. At any time, the future accounting schedule will include the current quarter, the next 13 weeks from current date, and adjustments for previous periods.
  2. Each quarter will be closed out for accounting purposes at the end each quarter.
  3. Member Institution representatives will control their authorized agents by their inclusion (or exclusion) from the specific NMR Group List Pages
  4. Member Institutions falling below the minimum will be booked up to 100% by staff, probably every Wednesday.
  5. For high demand instruments, some book ahead by staff may be needed as a rationing mechanism, e.g. 750's.
