1. Principal Investigators can ask for their institution's time to be allocated to them by contacting their representative for NMR of the Scientific Committee. 2. Principal Investigators may ask for time to be allocated as part of the "Scientific Merit" category. Normally, this will be made available for funded grants, and for full payment for alloted time. Inquire to David Cowburn 3. Through June 30 2008, 900 time can be requested for any NIH grantee by request to David Cowburn. These allocations are supported by NIH P41 GM66354 and are not charged.

Once, I'm in one of the above categories, what specifically is needed for time in the next schedule?
1. For institutional time, make your needs known to the representative for NMR on the Scientific Committee. If there are limitations, the allocations will be decided by the representative, and NYSBC is not a party to how this is done. Each institution operates independently and differently. 2. For "Scientific Merit" time, email to nmrschedule@nysbc.org , 2.1. your current grant number related to this research. 2.2 your needs for NMR time (number of days, field, preferred dates), 2.3 your specific commitment to pay for this allocation. 3. For 900 use supported by GM66354, use Nmr Requests?

Yes, when there's time not used by a previously allocated institution, then the time is offered to the next institution in a round-robin. This is quite unusual and should not be relied on as a method of getting time.
