X368 - Controls in new 3D-printed plate (square chambers)

frozen protein tested: yiiP (Salvatore), yiiP (John), CysZ, Bor1p, YetJ, BAT14

X368, results

  • Results show dialysis and reconstitution in the plate for most of the conditions. Only CysZ and YetJ6? were less good in the plate:
  • Results in the plate and the buttons were as expected for yiiP: both John’s and Salvatore’s protein gave long helical tubes.
  • Bor1p also gave some helical tubes, of lesser quality than with fresh protein (As expected)
  • Diffracting sheets of BAT14 were not reproduced. Instead, at best we obtained helical tubes at higher LPRs. More vesicles are seen in the buttons (which is not uncommon)
  • YetJ6? gave some rare non-diffracting tubes and was less good than previous runs. Results in the buttons better, plates showed mostly aggregates for this one.
  • CysZ showed only wide crystalline tubes/vesicles in the buttons, not the plate.
