Slot Grids

  • To get samples to stick to formvar only
    • 0.01% tris
    • Dip grid in tris and rinse twice in D2O.
    • Done after carbon coat.
    • Makes grid hydrophobic and film hydophilic

Wetting edge of knife

  • Use saliva
  • Less likely to wet block face than photoflo
