CEM Microscope Schedule

CEM Microscope Allocations

• 3 days of the week is allocated as summarized in CemSchedulingOverview
• 2 days of the week is allocated for merit based projects and independent users
  • These days are labeled Projects Day on the calendar. If there is unused instrument time these days may be allocated to those on the waitlist.
  • Open Training Days are microscope training sessions that you may sign up for. Signup for training through the CemRequest page.
• Calendar below represents preallocation of microscope time to individual institutions
• Actual bookings will be finalized and entered into this calendar by your CEM Institutional Representative
  • To request a specific booking during your institution's preallocated time
    • contact your CEM Institutional Representative
    • or email cem@nysbc.org
  • If you require NYSBC staff assistance, you must make a separate reservation by emailing cem@nysbc.org and detailing your needs
  • If a specific booking is not made before the prior Wednesday, that time will be reallocated to other users (see CemRequest)
• To cancel a booking or acknowledge that a preallocated time slot is not required, send email to cem@nysbc.org and notify your CEM Institutional Representative
  • cancellations should be made before the prior Wednesday so time can be reallocated to other users
• Note You may request any day and be put on a wait list. If there is unused microscope time your request may be granted.
• You may request up to 1 month ahead of time.

• Note that the JEOL 3200 and Helios is not currently scheduled, use CemRequest for this instrument
• Users with late cancellations (after prior Wednesday) or missed appointments will not be considered for additional time

• Signup on a first come first served basis
  • We cannot guarantee that equipment will be available to use, if you haven't signed up for it
• Signup with your TwikiName and list the time period you want to use the equipment
